The Devil’s Advocate
- The Good Guy Badge, The Devil’s Notebook by Anton Szandor LaVey, page 21.
- its natural to be selfish and to mask it with a good guy badge
- it’s relative behaviors to your own that define evil or bad, hence you are good
- superheroes use this, never defeating their arch nemesis they simple battle them to victory, leaving them to live and commit henous acts another day. They need the bad guy to cover up their own inadequicies.
- being able to spot and even mock a goodguy allows us to take his armor down and force him to rise on his own merits not those of his enemies or to have success simply by hating others.
- irrational self interest and undeserved self-righteousness are hallmarks of the good guy badge. You even see it in satanism, the need to belong, to be sufficiently evil, one takes up a cause of someone that has gained noteriety, just to suck at the tit of accomplishment, hoping it will rub off.
- religion is the biggest proponent of this, out of election years. the sad, worthless sheep want to feel of worth, to have personal value, so they do it through their bright shining badge, jesus.
- you see it in the green movementm peta supporters, whole food fanaticists
- goodgguy badges need an audience
Agent Provocateur
- Episode 9 – Colorado, Washington, and Afghaniville: Development Models for Drug-Induced Democracy
The Creature Feature
- George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire
