Producer’s Notes
This second year was about broadening the appeal of the show and honestly, broadening its audience. There was a lot of promotional episodes and behind-the-scenes promoting that was done. I knew that if there wasn’t a Satanic audience that was interested in what I was saying, there wouldn’t be any audience. I also quickly realized the majority of my audience weren’t Church of Satan members. Rather, they were individuals that identified as Satanists or ‘left-hand path’ types that simply enjoyed the voice the podcast had developed.
I knew I wanted 9sense to positively represent Satanism and that meant it needed to have some authority, and it began with the best interview of the High Priest of the Church of Satan, Magus Peter H. Gilmore about the release of his Spanish translation of The Satanic Scriptures through Underworld Amusements. I also invited the first contributor with Erin of Down to the Crossroads. This took the load of me once a month and shared a passion of both Erin’s and mine, blues music.
