About Eve of the Nightingale

The people of Hope’s Hollow are blessed. Their crops never rot, they never grow sick, and their children never die young. Some who have passed through have told stories of rain only falling on the crops.

The Governess of the town would tell the curious that “the favor of the Gods smile upon the town” though she only smiles when someone is wise enough to ask which gods.

For while the people of Hope’s Hollow are blessed, they are also cursed. All light creates shadow and when the sun dips below the Brandock Mountain Range, Hope’s Hollow descends into The Realm of The Nightingale – a land of darkness and shadows as twisted and rotted as the roots of a diseased tree. And when they wake, they have no memory of what atrocities they may have committed… what their hands may have done.

That is the trade that has been made for the city of Hope’s Hollow. For eternal joy in the light, they must bend to the will of The Burp Hag: the creature who rules The Nightingale. Her goals are mysterious, but she always has a hateful errand at the ready. She always needs more.

Tonight, she needs paint from a man named Nolzur.
