I finally got my ass and my family on a trail. We hiked to Dog Lake from Big Water Trailhead, and we got lucky. There was a nice young woman finishing her hike just as we rolled up, and cars before us and after us were forced to find another trailhead becaus this is always packed! The kids were in perfect form, no complaining, no fighting. The weather was brilliantly fall, a little chill in the air, and the colors in bright full contrast! It was a wonderful day with the family, and I cannot wait to explore more familiar trails in the fall soon!
