In Memoriam: Samantha E. Lancaster-Castle

7 November, 1975–9 January, 2021

Samantha had a massive impact on my earlier life. When I lost my friend to suicide, it took me years to process and resolve my emotions. Samantha helped me with it, while exposing me to a world I was ignorant to, but interested in.

I discovered Satanism in middle school, but my path to understanding it and becoming a member of the Church of Satan would take years. Samantha’s presence, influence, and friendship is what helped me to discover who I truly was, what I wanted to be, and ultimately find a sense of closure with the loss of my high school friend.

We had a familial relationship and as I saw her and my closest friends date, separate, marry and have children together, we always remained close. I pride myself as being a place of safety for my friends. They can come to me and find a sympathetic ear and support.

Though that sympathetic ear has ended up burning bridges, the reason we grew apart was simply lifestyle and life experience. I will forever cherish the memories and experiences we shared from the insect infested duplex, do the drug fueled escapades, and the sharing of mutual pain from loss.

May the guardians embrace you.

Hail Samantha!
