This was a collaboration with Gyps Fulvus and myself, exploring the traditional guitar driven blues riff with a lyrical concept of God asking Lucifer why his creation rejects him. This featured guitars and mixing by Gyps Fulvus and vocals by Reverend Campbell.
Lucifer’s Blues
Lyrics
I was the morning star, bright as I could be
but ol god he had other plans, he had other plans for me
he said devil, oh yea devil, I need your honsesty
my people you see my people dont worship me
I looked down at ol god,
he looked up at me
I smiled my toothy grin
he squint that eye at me
and I said to ol god
sit right there, and listen to me
I got somethin to tell you,
itll set you set you free
yea, itll set you free take it gyps
yeas you people are sinner, you try an not make em be
let em be the devils, they alwsy gonna be
you see the people, are my people, an they always be
they aint gonna live now in hypocrisy
I was ol morning star, bright as I could be
I was that morning star, bright as I could be
But god damn, omega, he had other plans for me
I rose up against him, in the name of honesty
I said I rose up against him, in the name of honesty
a third of the host at my back, it was such a sight to see
We marched through pearly gates, destruction in our wake
mhhm we marched through those pearly gates, destruction in our wake
we stood up to him that, fostered lies in all he create
It was foolish oh so foolish, an all out frontal stand
