The Shining is a game of survival and suspense. Players are the Caretakers exploring the Hotel, attempting to gain enough Willpower to withstand its corrupting influence each month as they stay for the winter in the Overlook Hotel. Those who fail become temporarily Possessed, attacking — and possibly killing — other players.
