Reverend Campbell is joined by Warlock Jeff Bowling and Citizen Valefar to discuss the pitfalls a population falls in when they venerate their leaders to near divine status. We see this in social, political and religious leaders, and not even Satanists are exempt.

Opening Monologue
Our master negotiator in chief just returned from Vietnam, with his bone spurs retracted. Unfortunately the man that claimed to have written the art of the deal seems a bit weak in the knees when faced with his flat headed, pear shaped north Korean love interest. Yes, Donald trump literally said after the first meeting with the brutal north Korean dictator, that they fell in love. Don’t take my word for it, here he is in his own words:, “I was really being tough and so was he,” Trump said. “And we would go back and forth. And then we fell in love. No really. He wrote me beautiful letters.” “They were great letters. And then we fell in love,” he continued.
Now, call me old fashioned but I am not sure the conservative republican party is okay with dictator on wannabe dictator relations, is it? No, I’m actually not mad at our president having open dialog with other leaders, so long as there are other administration representatives and interpreters present. Unlike like the two private Trump-Putin meetings where trump dismissed his entire cabinet and interpreter in one meeting, and literally threatened the interpreter, stealing their notes in another meeting. No, I think open dialog between nations is a net positive for a more peaceful world. If for no other reason, it lets everyone see the crazy on these leaders sleeves first hand.
The fact that trump walked away, or Kim walked away, stopping to turn and say, no you go first, no you go first, aw let’s go together….. Hey! You didn’t go, I thought we were gonna go at the same time, but you didn’t go either! Young love… is there anything better? Look no deal needs to be had. Trump has already made an ass out himself to the world with his first meeting, leaving with blue balls from this second meeting is probably the best-worst case scenario.
And look, I know you pro trump maga-uns get ruffled at the collar by these monologues, so let me concede something that i wasn’t expecting to learn from the recent congressional hearings with Michael Cohen. I don’t think that trump personally colluded with Russia during his presidential campaign at this point. Yea, I couldn’t believe it either. Now, everyone around him, the entire leadership of his presidential campaign, they’re guilty, but as of yet, trump remains clean. That’s gotta say something. Well, something as in clean of direct collusion with the campaign, not his Russia trump tower scheme he lied about through the entire election and even after he became president. Or his many financial crimes being dealt with in courts, or the fact that he’s an un-indicted co conspirator in campaign finance crimes that are sending his layer to prison for 3 years. But on direct collusion… he’s clean…so far.
Am I not magnanimous? But hey, I could chit chat about dictators who abuse their positions and get away with it, hell, are even adored by their base simply because their base are victims of a cult of personality. Not quite Stockholm syndrome here at home, but definitely cult-ish, but I have other things to discuss… well, come to think of it… I don’t, that’s the topic of today’s show, so let me introduce you my esteemed co hosts who abuse their own cults of personality., or so I hear….

Our second panelist is an author and amateur film maker from the Pacific Northwest. He works in tech support and operates a small farm with his family outside of Portland Oregon. When he’s not gaming and spending time with his kids he can be found reenacting the middle ages as an active member of the Society for Creative Anachronism.
