What is Real World Accomplishment?
It’s different for each Satanist but for me, it is getting a raise at work. I have also been seeing the fruits of my labor when it comes to saving. In pinching my pennies and dimes, I have pulled myself up from my financial bootstraps to build my funds, investments and credit, when all of them were once in dire straights. Spending can go past indulgence and move towards the realm of compulsion. Fortunately for me, I focused on buying what I want without sacrificing that which I need, and being keen to the difference between the two.
As someone who deals with a mental disorder, another accomplishment is that I pride myself in pushing forward when so many things from within myself, and others, scream at me to just “give up.” I have bipolar disorder, it does not have me.
I also pride myself in striking up deals with some publishers to get some of my writing out there. Here on out, I’ll be publishing my work with some of them in the future. This also coincides with my own personal website and Satanic blog that I have started; I take pride in those achievements as well.
As a final note, I have moved past my fear of driving and not only obtained my license but my first car as well, all within a few months of each other. To me, that was a big deal, since I was petrified of driving for a while! It feels great to beat your own shortcomings.
