A few weeks ago I had gotten a promotion at work.  It took me a couple of years to get it.  But a lot of hard work and a little bit of Lesser Magic really paid off for me.  It gave me a significant pay increase. I’ll have been at my company for 13 years in June. I’ve busted my ass since day 1 and have gotten 4 promotions now since I’ve been there.  I didn’t know that I was a Satanist through most of that time.  But I honestly believe that this is a perfect example of how a Satanist should be striving for excellence.  Sure I’ve made mistakes along the way, but who hasn’t? The key is learning from them and pushing on.

My new goal after getting this is to get that debt paid down, sell this cramped place, and get a nice home for my family to live in.   Ever forward, right?

Personal

My second one relates purely to vital existence and being a dad.  The weather has been utter crap for the past for several months.  It’ll be warm, then freezing cold, then sunny, then snowy.  Most of this would happen in the same day, seriously. I live in Pennsylvania.  Enough said.  Last weekend we finally had a nice day in the 70’s.  It was gorgeous outside.  So I took my 5 year old daughter out in the back yard. We broke out our Nerf dart guns (mine is a big Star Wars one) and had a dart battle in the back yard.  When we had gotten bored with that I said “fuck it, let’s go get a ball and a frisbee from the dollar store down the hill.”  Normally I would be lazy and drive. But today we walked down to enjoy the sun.  Then we walked home and immediately went to the back yard to play with the new toys.  We spent most of the afternoon outside.  Just me and my daughter together was probably one of the best days I’ve had for the past few months and we enjoyed the hell out of it.  The next day we were going to go breakfast then the zoo as a family. But it started pouring down rain, so the zoo was out.  After breakfast we didn’t let our day get ruined and instead went to the museum.  The whole weekend I had a smile on my face and was thinking “This is what life as a Satanist should be. Complete and utter happiness and enjoyment.” It’s a time I will never forget. This just couldn’t have turned out better.
