Can we be honest for a second?
Just because your friend created something, does not make that something good.
This is an essential idea that is integral to reality, friendship, and yes, a mutual admiration society. If the emperor has no clothes, no matter how many times you declare the opposite, the motha’ fucka’ is nekkid (period)
You are doing no one a favor by claiming something is quality when it objectively is not. We find this most often when one friend comments on the quality of another friends work. “Great job.” he says. “Why thank you, I tried really hard.” the other replies. All the while, everyone witnessing this ass clown, tomfoolery is wondering, “Why are they sucking each others dicks in public?” The work clearly does not live up to the gratis, and the fact that you make it in public, only showcases your ineptitude and lack of taste, or worse, proving you are a sycophant.
In either case, Satanists should NEVER find themselves in this position. Do not EVER bloviate your friends abilities. Be honest and an actual friend for fuck sake; stop hamstringing your friend by heaping on them unwarranted praise. And worse, if you genuinely believe this monstrosity of a childish piece of shit a masterpiece, you should have the sense of self to shut your worthless mouth, allowing others to believe you a moron without you proving it.
Where does this sense of illusion come from? I thought being a Satanist was to have a sense of discerning aesthetic taste and sense of reality or honesty? How can this tent be filled with movers and shakers if it is instead filled with glad hander’s and talentless hacks with nothing but a poor hype-guy and no sense of quality?
I challenge you all to objectively measure your works. Take a step back and ask someone who will be honest with you, if what you are producing is something of worth. I will bet, if that person is actually a friend, they will be critical in their reply and you will have to do some sort of refinement. No one is above critical analysis and correction, and if your best effort is sub par, move the fuck on. Don’t make yourself the fool because you fail to see the truth in your creations.
We are supposed to be honest with ourselves. Move beyond self or supported delusions of grandeur, and if we took that seriously, we may be able to see the cream slowly rising, rather than a tide of ineptitude swelling like a tsunami over us.
Be better. Be honest. Be you.
