Blocked and Blacklisted

There is a power in being feared. There is an inherent strength in terrifying others to the point of them putting you on a list. I want to say it says more about their weakness, but the truth is, the weak are insignificant. If you are controlled by those who would censor you or your passions, what does that say about you?

I cut ties with those who would try to use their lack of vision and insecurities to control me. They are psychic vampires by definition. They drain you of creativity, resources, ambition and drive all to feed their vacuum of creativity. They lie to try and control you. They pass out trinkets to draw you in, then they slowly begin to apply restrictions on your behaviors, your life. “If you want to be my friend, you cannot do this. If you’re one of us, you can’t do that.” Sound familiar?

I take great pride being on these list. It tells me that I am doing the right thing by challenging my own views, inviting those I don’t see eye to eye with to collaborate, even looking beyond past biases to learn something new. And the truth is, this is a natural part of life—challenge and discovery. By refusing that, by blocking it off you are telling the world that you are afraid and insignificant… weak.

If by following your passions, in studying humanity and its expressions, and in challenging your views you find yourself on such a list, celebrate. It is their way of telling you that they revere you so much that they are actively thinking about you. They are actively fearing your presence. They are worshipping you as the proverbial devil, and I can’t think of anything more fitting to be.

Hail Satan!
