I don’t go out of my way to make friends.
Between my professional and family life, I simply don’t have a lot of time to spend with them. Not to mention, though I’m going to mention it anyway, I can be quite disagreeable. That makes the times I do get to spend with those I have connected with truly valuable.
You shouldn’t have to ‘try’ with friends, and whether you have one or twenty, always let them know that you appreciate them. To those who have sat at my table and drunk my spirits or those who I have connected with online thank you for being yourselves and allowing me to be mine. It’s refreshing.
